WE ARE HIRING! Student Liaison & Strategic Partnership Coordinator
BT Global Access is hiring a Student Liaison & Strategic Partnership Coordinator for its Toronto office.
This role will help us identify, recruit, and pre-screen Canadian citizens aged 18–35 for Working Holiday opportunities designated by BT Global Access and relevant partners, as well as assisting in creating and coordinating BT Global Student Clubs across the country.

Engaging Canadian Stakeholders
On Thursday, December 20th, 2024, we had a productive meeting with Mr. Alain Gendron, Director of the West Africa and Maghreb Bilateral Relations Division at Global Affairs Canada, along with his senior officials, including Mr. Michael Creighton, International Assistance Program Officer for the Senegal and Maghreb Division; Ms. Katia Torregrosa, Senior Policy Analyst for Gender-Based Violence and Child Protection; and Mr. Karl Ouellette, Senior Desk Officer for the West Africa and Maghreb Bilateral Relations Division.

Meeting between Honorable Gibbi Mballow and Speaker Greg Fergus
On Tuesday December 17th , Honorable Gibbi Mballow, a distinguished member of the National Assembly of The Gambia, met with the Right Honourable Greg Fergus, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada. The meeting was a significant exchange focused on strengthening the already cordial relations between the Gambia and Canada, particularly in the areas of democracy, governance, climate change, and parliamentary cooperation.

BT Global Access is looking for a talented Country Coordinator in Banjul, in The Gambia, West Africa, to handle the day-to-day operations of the Gambian office, as well as answering inquiries of our prospective students. The Country Coordinator will also be in charge of local marketing and outreach initiatives to recruit international students.

CAYEF 2024 WAS A BLAST!

Sierra Leone-Canada Trade Investment & Cultural Show
The Sierra Leone-Canada Trade and Investment Summit and Cultural Show which was held from September 18-20th, 2025 was a great success!
The high-level delegation from the Government of Sierra Leone engaged in meaningful discussions and cross-sectoral dialogue with institutions, businesses and investors in Canada to advance trade, investment and partnerships.

Canada-African Union Commission High-Level Dialogue
BT Global Access had the privilege to participate in a round-table dialogue on the role of the Afro-Canadian diaspora in Canada-Africa relations, on November 7th, 2024, in Toronto.
The Hon. Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic development, and the Hon. Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development, hosted a diaspora dialogue with African Union Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat.

This role will support the Country Coordinator and the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator in their daily activities, including researching and identifying private schools with potential students interested in studying in Canada, and maintaining a proper filing system.

New International Student Program Regulations take effect!

**IMPORTANT STATEMENT**

Study online abroad and get your work permit for Canada
International students who can’t come to Canada due to #covid19 travel restrictions, will still be eligible for coveted postgraduate work permits even if they complete their entire studies online from overseas.
These measures apply to international students who meet all PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit) criteria.

Study in Canada Scholarships
The Study in Canada Scholarships program provides students from post-secondary institutions located in the new eligible countries/territories with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.
